This was a popular hike the first time it was done so we are going to do it again just a little different. This time we are going to hike/walk down to Harbor Place and back which is about 5 miles +/- round trip.
We will meet at the Canton Waterfront Park (also known as the Korean War Memorial) by the Water Taxi landing. Plenty of free parking on Boston Street.
Stroll the Waterfront Promenade and discover one of America’s most dynamic urban waterfronts. Amble or power walk on the harbor shoreline, or on inland segments. Linger where it connects with the charming historic waterfront communities of Canton, Fells Point, or at the bustling Inner Harbor. See the many faces of Baltimore’s character revealed.
Plan to spend a few hours on this event as we will leave the Canton Waterfront Park at 11am. Plenty of free parking on Boston Street. We can stop along the way for lunch/drinks. This is a great way to experience the Baltimore waterfront, hang out with friends and get some exercise as well. This is about a 5 mile walk round trip.
Should be a great day of fun and exercise.
For those of you who do not want to go the full 5 miles, you can meet us in Fells Point at the water taxi stand on Thames St right across from the Square. This will cut about 2 miles from the hike. We should be there about 11:45. Anyone wanting to meet at the water taxi stand please let me know so I can be on the lookout for you.
If you park in Fells Point, please be aware of the 2 hour permit parking on most of the residential streets and parking on Thames St will require paying to park at the box and get a receipt to put on your dash.
