Potluck lunch and hike Jerusalem Mill South

Since this event is at my house it is only open to those who have hiked with me or if you have hiked with one of the other organizers who can vouch for you. Join one of my hikes in the next month please if we have not already met or let me know which organizer you have hiked with.

I set the location as the Jerusalem Mill parking lot but we will NOT be meeting there. I'll email confirmed attendees the address a few days before but it is about 1 mile from that parking lot.

We'll meet up early and drop your potluck goodies at my house. Then we'll hike the south white trail for about 7 miles. Then we will enjoy some grub while overlooking a quiet spot in the river.

Post what you're bringing please so we don't end up with 50 bags of Doritos. I'll provide a grill for any meat that needs to be cooked.

We'll cross the covered bridge, the Iron Bridge and do the Kingsville county park loop. This trail is my favorite trail so far in the Big/Little Gunpowder parks in the Kingsville area.

The South trail has some rocky and root areas you need to scramble over.

Total distance will be about 7 miles. There is no bail off area so please be able to do the full distance. Please plan to be able to keep up at 2.5 to 3 miles per hour pace for 3+ hours  without significant breaks.

We will step off EXACTLY at 9:30. If you are late, txt me. I will post my number and the address the night before the hike.

This is a rain or shine event. I have showers available for anybody that wants to clean up after the hike. And for those who attended the last one of these - I have hot water this time. :)

Dogs are welcome but they must be well behaved! I also strongly prefer you keep them on leash.

There are places on the South trail where a dog could knock someone down a hill into rocks or the water. Also, if they mess on my property you'll need to take care of it. Dogs will not be allowed in the house. There is a fenced area they can run around in though and the porch is gated.

This is cross posted with the Hiking Around Baltimore and the 20s/30s Hiking Around Maryland meetup groups.

Oh, and I'd appreciate any cleanup help at the end. :)

Alrighty everyone here is the food list so far:
    Brownies (unlisted guest)
    Veggie Pasta (Kathy)
Coke Zero and other sodas (George)
    Salmon (O Simon)
    Baba Gannouge homemade (May)
Burgers and dogs for the grill (Carleen)

We could use veggies, another meat if anybody wants chicken, side dishes. Booze would be helpful too. I'll have some beers but definitely not enough for the entire group.

I'll get silverware and cups and charcoal. Please post here what you plan to bring if your dish isn't already listed above.

I've been copying and pasting my standard meetups for so long I screwed up the RSVP settings on this one yesterday. RSVP if you want to join. But the rules in the event description still apply so please make sure to read up before you update your RSVP. Hope to see you on the trail and for some yummy post-hike grub.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
