Full Moon Hike in Druid Hill Park

Have you ever heard of the “Back Hills” in Druid Hill Park? Well, this is your chance to hike the Jones Falls Trail that runs through Druid Hill Park, as well as the old roads that travel along the back side of The Maryland Zoo after dark!

This walk is roughly a 5 mile loop on paved surfaces with several hills. Please come dressed for the weather and bring water and a snack. Hikes begin and end at the Rawlings Conservatory in Druid Hill Park.

**This hike includes significant walking and several hills.**

$5 suggested donation - all proceeds benefit the free programs at the Druid Hill Farmers' Market

Sonya, We usually discourage flashlight use - there is usually moonlight and enough other light to see. We would never say No to flashlight and sometimes are needed. Tom

New to the group, new to meet up! Planning to show up tonight, should a flashlight be brought? Or is it not necessary?

We are still planning to meet tonight. The trails are all paved and we should be fine. See you tonight!

Hi Tom What is your rain policy? Looks like about a 10-20% chance of rain at 10PM. But it will have been raining all day. I don't mind some rain or even lots of rain. But I don't want to be the only one to show up at Druid Hill at 10PM. I left my .45ACP at my friends house. :)

FYI- I'm going to cancel if it's still raining or looks like it might start again. Left my raincoat at a friends house.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
