I set the location as the Jerusalem Mill parking lot but we will NOT be meeting there. I'll email the address a few days before but it is about 1 mile from that parking lot.

We'll meet up early at my house and drop off the potluck goodies. No need to carry a crock pot of hot chili for the hike. Well, unless you want the extra challenge. The hike will be along the south white trail and will be about 6 miles. The trail has some rocky and root areas. I'd call it a moderate difficulty trail.

After the hike we will enjoy the potluck goodies while overlooking a quiet spot in the river. Once the sun goes down we'll get the old fire pit lit up.

Post what you're bringing please so we don't end up with 50 bags of Doritos. I'll provide a grill for any meat that needs to be cooked.

We will step off at 3:30. If you are late, well, head home and take a nap.

This is a rain or shine event. I have showers available for anybody that wants to clean up after the hike. And for those who attended the last one of these - I have hot water this time. LoL

Dogs are welcome but they must be well behaved and remain on lead for the hike. They can run around the fenced yard after the hike though.

Oh, and I'd appreciate any cleanup help at the end. :)

I have cut up onion, tomatoes, and nice leaf lettuce for burger topper, 12 ears of sweet corn, my lemon berry truffle, and 18 pack of bud light platinum ready to bring today. I will bring nishka for the hike only then bring her home and come back. . She is a social butterfly with people and loves children but not fond of other dogs. Please if anyone bringing their dog, don't let your dog come up to her. . She is obedient with me but needs respect of her space with other animals. . I will keep her at a distance that she is comfortable with. . No worries, just no meet and greet with this pup. Walking in a pack will be good to help desensitized her. This is why I will take her home after the hike. I only let her off leash at home and don't do dog parks.

Okay carpooling people. . I don't know where everyone is coming from, but I live five miles away if anyone wants to come to my house and carpool from here lmk. I will post my address if interested. . I have a small car but four can fit if you don't mind dog hair and dirt. Or if someone else has a bigger, cleaner vehicle that would be better.

I can bring some lettuce leaves for burger topper and some corn. Wayne what do you consider expensive good beer?

haha. I always think simple like Bud or Miller Lite for these events because everybody shares. I've seen people bring expensive stuff like custom assembled six packs then get upset when it disappears. It's a potluck - bringing something just for yourself doesn't count. :)

The list of who is bringing what is below. Less than half committed to anything. Looks like we got us some folks with commitment issues. Ha!

We seem to have a fair amount of salads, salsas and deserts. We could use:

Drinks - sodas (diet and reg) and beer are always good. Get the expensive stuff at your own risk.

    Burgers

    Dogs

    Cheese for the above

    Buns and rolls

    Corn on the cob

    Meats that can be grilled

    Veggies that can be grilled

Lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, etc toppings for sandwiches. I'll have cups, ice, flatware and plates. Please post what you plan to bring if you have not already.

I'll send the address and parking information tonight by email... Should be a lot of fun as usual.
