Black Friday Hike in Druid Hill Park

Black Friday Hike
Friday, November 23, 8:30 - 10:30 AM

Skip the shopping madness and walk off
your turkey dinner on this pretty, 6 mile
loop with some beautiful views of the
Druid Hill Park.

Have you ever heard of the “Back Hills”
in Druid Hill Park? Well, this is your
chance to get a guided hike along the
Jones Falls Trail that runs through
Druid Hill Park, as well as the old
roads that travel along the back side
of The Maryland Zoo.

This walk is roughly a 6 mile loop on paved surfaces with several steep hills. Please come dressed for the weather and bring water and a snack. We will meet at
the Rawlings Conservatory for Coffee
and Hot Chocolate before we head out on
our hike.

Registration $5
(all proceeds benefit the FoDHP Tree fund) Please visit the Friends of Druid Hill Park website to register. http://DruidHillPark.org

    Happy Thanksgiving!

The Weatherman says it should be a beautiful day for tomorrow's hike in Druid Hill Park.

The Friends of Druid Hill Park look forward to hosting our 1st Annual Black Friday Hike. We will be meeting at 8:30 AM in the Howard P. Rawlings Conservatory. Please arrive a little early so we can get everyone registered and are able to start on time. If you have not registered or paid, you will be able to register and pay at the event. The Hike/Walk should take approx 2 hours. Remember, this hike involves significant walking on paved surfaces with several hills. Please come dressed for the weather and bring water. We should have a good group.

    See you in the park!

Tom P.S. There is plenty of parking available in front of the conservatory.

We follow all park rules. Therefore, dogs are allowed but must remain on a leash at all times.
