White Clay Creek is a great park with over 50 miles of twisting turning, up and down trails that go through forest and meadow and along the creek. Most of the park is in Delaware but some of it is in Pennsylvania. There is actually a tristate marker in the park where Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland meet.
On this hike we start from the Judge Morris parking area and hike a hilly 10-12 miles in 4-4.5 hours. This is one of my favorite places to hike.
In warmer months there is a $6 per car parking fee. This time of the year it is free.
Caution: You should be able to walk 3-4 hours without much of a break.
You should have recently hiked 8 miles in conditions detailed above. Hilly Hikes Warning
To carpool from Hill House meet at 1015 am. Each carpooler chips in $8 at the start. Email me 3-4 days in advance and receive a reply.
