This is one of the few times we'll go down the shore during the summer. The beaches at Strathmere are never crowded even at peak season. And they're always beautiful. We may take a brief walk at Corson's Inlet before walking across the bridge to Strathmere. We'll walk 2-3 hours on the beach before heading for lunch at Puccini in Ocean City. After lunch we'll walk the boardwalk for 1-2 hours.

Usually there is little traffic on the middle day of a 3 day weekend.

Caution: You should be able to walk 2 hours without much of a break.
You should have recently hiked 5 miles in conditions detailed above.

To carpool from Hill House meet at 745 am. Each carpooler chips in $12 at the start. Email me 3-4 days in advance and receive a reply.

What would be the recommended foot wear for this hike?

I wear the same shoes that I normally wear, though I might carry them to walk in the water.

Thanks for that Sidney. Based on the descriptions of the various hikes, (this one being one of the easier ones) I think I will do some hiking on my own to get in a little bit better shape, It's been a while since I walked 5 miles at one shot. The good news is, when I put in a little effort I get into condition fairly quickly. Thanks again.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
