We'll start hiking at the north end of Ocean City NJ on the bay looking for that illusive big white rabbit that I've seen several times. Once I thought it was brief hallucination, since no one else observed it. Many months later our group followed (chased) the critter as best we could through back yards. The rabbit knew the territory! We got some photos that were posted. See the photos for an Ocean City hike, not at Corson's Inlet.
We'll hike the bay area for maybe a mile before hitting the beach on the north side of the island. We'll follow the beach around to the boardwalk, then continue on the beach or boardwalk to our lunch destination, Puccini: a great inexpensive italian restaurant with pizza and other italian dishes. After lunch we'll continue for another 1-2 hours. We can drive to the south side of the island to walk the Corson's Inlet area after lunch.
We'll head back home around 4pm. Total hike and walking time around 4-5 hours; ~2-3 hours before lunch, ~1-2 hours after lunch. Distance might be as much as 8-12 miles.
Caution: You should be able to walk 3 hours without a break. Shore area is flat.
To carpool from Hill House meet at 745am. Each carpooler chips in $12 at the start. Email me 3-4 days in advance and receive a reply.
