We might have a little rain today, so I suggest that you bring an umbrella.
The Chestnut Hill area is great place to walk. There are many large and small homes with beautiful gardens and trees. When I visit an arboretum in another area I often comment that it looks like my neighborhood. I regularly thank owners enroute for keeping up the property.
Afterwards we head for a super indian food buffet costing about $10 at Amans Authentic Indian Food. It's the best Indian food buffet I've found and has one of the highest ratings in the city. Amans is about 20 minutes up Germantown Ave in Norristown. Link showing directions from Hill House.
We'll explore the area for around 2 hours going 4-6 miles.
Caution: You should be able to walk 2 hours without much of a break. The area is gradually hilly.
It was so much fun! Can't remember the last time I spent 2 hours walking in the rain on a warm day. We had a large group (about 20) and Sidney told us interesting facts about the area and the mansions we saw. Good Indian food and nice variety of things to try.

Great time walking in the rain with good conversation and excellent reasonably priced Indian food afterward. Loved it!

Rosa, it is a residential neighborhood with free street parking. I usually don't have a problem, but may have to walk a block or so.

I'll RSVP when I'm more sure I'll be coming, but there's a good chance of it - the timing is good and I love Indian food, too. This will be my first event. I grew up in Chestnut Hill in one of those big houses!
