Hey Virginia, too bad that you couldn't find us, we also were looking for you guys everywhere for quite some time with not luck at all. While we were looking for you, didn't know who you were until Chris told me you were in the Grand Canyon hike, I totally remember you when we jumped into the Colorado river, anyway, hopefully we can do another hike/camping trip soon.. Regards, Luis.

Hey everyone. I am a student who recently moved from San Francisco Bay Area. This is my first semester in Long Beach. I am also a friend of Stefan. I was informed by Stefan today, thus acknowledging that there is a car camping meet up tomorrow morning. I understand that it is in the last minute, the good thing is I have my gears ready(from NorCal !).

To all: Is there anyone who have an extra space for carpool that I can hop on? I can be picked up from Long Beach or somewhere nearby, I can have my friend to drop me off somewhere near Long Beach. Please let me know.

    Thanks you so much.

Ali, REI has a checklist below that I used when I first started. You can look at it but the basic for camping are the ten essentials tent, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad. The rest it's up to you how much you want to invest on the activity. The are also other place to buy equipment such as Big5 or Target... Hope this help.

Weather report below: Looks like good hiking condition. Weather at desert areas are unpredictable so be prepared for even colder temp at night.

Hi all, I regret to say that I'm been sick since Monday and it doesn't seem like my condition is progressing enough for me to hike this weekend. I think I caught cold and has triggered my ashtma to flare up. Its ashame that we are a few days away from the trip, but I think I'm going to drop this and cancelthe hike altogether unless some volunteer to host this event. Let me know if anyone wants to step up to be the host. Again, I'm sorry. At this time please consider alternative plans.

    All,
We're a few days away from the Joshua overnight trip so it's time to do carpool arrangements. Hopefully all of you are still planning to go. We are going for first come first serve sites at COttonwood Springs Campground at the southend of the park. Lets meet at the campground Saturday 8AM. We'll claim afew sites and head to Lost Palm Oasis trailhead (should be a short drive). I'm hoping most of you guys could join if not we'll see you guys at the campground or text me and catch up. I'll email my contact later.

If your plan change please change your RSVP ASAP.

Thanks for signing up and hope to see you there.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
