I just moved to Denver from my college in Ohio a few days ago so all of this is new to me! I am a rock climber and love the outdoors.
We are queer (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex) and straight hikers, skiers, backpackers and more. We embrace diversity and celebrate our differences. All orientations, straight and gay, are welcome as well as all genderidentities and expressions.
Being queer puts a different slant on life and laughing helpsus through the rough times. Our unique brand of humor distinguishes gay hiking from its all straight counterpart. And yes that means we have more fun, but you already knew that!
Our group centers around day hiking, camping, overnight backpacking, snowshoeing, skiing/snowboarding, fishing, peak bagging and dog friendly trips
Our day hiking adventuresinclude beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
Our backpacking adventures, typically 1-3 nights, include spring, summer and winter trips in the Rocky Mountains. All skill levels are welcome.
Our meetups are focused on building quality friendships in a no-pressure environment. We enjoy each other's company on the trail and recoup with comforting foods after a great trip.
If you are new to playing in the Rocky Mountains, you are in good company. Many of our members recently moved to Colorado and need to ease into their outdoor experiences. If you have any questions about the group or preparing for activities, let me know.
