A tour in the JavaScript world

After the great success of the 1st Hippo Meetup, we are proud to announce the Second Hippo Meetup which will take place on May 14th 2013 at 17:30. More information about the location of the event and how to get there is explained below.

This time we have a very exciting topic, as the title implies it is about JavaScript. JavaScript has been, and still is, a hot topic for a while. When you go and look how many JavaScript libraries and frameworks are out there you will be amazed but at the same time you might feel a bit lost, what to use and when ? What are the main differences between each of these libraries and frameworks ?

For Hippo JavaScript plays a core role as we build cutting edge content management systems and build websites for different customers who have different needs, and we thought why not to get together talking about that topic and exchange experiences all in a nice, friendly and casual atmosphere.

This time we have one pre-scheduled talk from Henri Bergius (http://bergie.iki.fi/) who is coming all the way from Berlin to join our meetup. Henri is an author and contributor of many JavaScript libraries and frameworks, Create.js and NoFlo just to list a few.

As you may know, if you have attended the 1st Hippo Meetup, attendees are very encouraged to participate actively in the event by giving talks or suggesting a point/topic which they would like someone else, who might have more knowledge about, to give a talk or explain some more information related to that point/topic. Talks don't have to be technically deep you don't even have to have pre-prepared slides, although better to have, all what we need from you is to know how to run a presentation or a discussion

Drinks and food will be available. The location will be able to accommodate a maximum of 25 people, so make sure you sign up to ensure your spot!
