Walking Tour of St. Elizabeths West Campus

YOU MUST REGISTER THOUGH OUR ONLINE FORM TO ATTEND.

Hey Buffs! This is a great tour given by yours truly and the St. Es preservation planner/historian for the General Services Administration. Come on out and see one of the most spectacular views of the city!

Join the DC Preservation League in partnership with the General Services Administration for a walking tour of the historic west campus of St. Elizabeths Hospital, a National Historic Landmark.

Space is limited and reservations are required. Because of security issues walk-ons will not be permitted on the tour.

RSVP on meetup so others know you are attending, but your place WILL NOT be held until you click the link below to register. GSA requires some information since it's secure site and the future home of the Department of Homeland Security.

The tour is limited to 80 attendees.

Does anyone know whether it is walkable from the Anacostia Metro station? If not, what's the parking situation like?

    • Peter O.

It's a short walk walk from Anacostia station, but from the notice they sent out it sounds like parking will also be available.

A friend wanted to join but it looks like the form is no longer active. Any way to get her on the list? I can send the info by e-mail if necessary. Thanks!

I plan to attend wearing a N95 mask because it is an old abandoned building.

Thank you Amanda. I appreciate the information. So, we have to sign a waiver of liability to walk outside in the rain? Sigh. I am a good boy scout and am always prepared.

Oh, an N95 mask is a dust mask that you see sheetrock hangers wear. You can get them at improvement stores.
