Thanks for the great meeting tonight! Nice seeing you all! Looking forward to our field trip!

I figured out why no one has heard about The National Women's History Museum. It has not been built yet! Though it's going through congressional approval to be added to the National Mall as we speak. There is currently an online exhibit related to this evening's discussion - The Seneca Falls Convention and the Early Suffrage Movement. http://www.nwhm.org/

Hey Guys. Great Meeting tonight. I checked on the book about the Declaration of Independence. I had the wrong author. It's called Inventing America: Jefferson's Declaration of Independence by Garry Wills. But my memory has failed me again. It's too long, almost 400 pages. Why I remember it being short is beyond me. It's a great book. But I don't think we should tackle it. The Other book is One Summer, America, 1927 by Bill Bryson. It's gotten great reviews but is even longer!! So I leave it up to you guys to come up with something. Someone in passing mentioned Only Yesterday by Frederick Lewis Allen, which is a classic, short but wonderful book on the Twenties. Many of you may have read it already. But it is a delight. Al

I'm in NC and expected to be home by Monday evening's meeting, but that's not going to happen. I regret so much missing this discussion, I was really looking forward to it! KK
