Colorado Mail Stories: By Train, Plane, and Pony Express Lecture - History Colorado Center

The geography and economy of Colorado prompted creative endeavors by the government, businessmen, customers, and criminals to protect or hinder the delivery of mail. And though the short-lived Pony Express had its only Colorado stop in Julesburg, that station is now a postal legend. K. Allison Wickens of the Smithsonian's National Postal Museum discusses the history of the delivery of mail to Colorado, from pioneering days to the present.
