Well, the 1st group filled up so fast with history lovers that I'm scheduling a 2nd group! Details:
The renowned Golden Gate Bridge Tours are back for the 2013 season after garnering an average Yelp rating of 4.5 stars in 2012!
These 45-minute personally guided history tours go from the Bridge Plaza (SE side of bridge) to the South Tower telling stories of passion, danger, and ingenuity about "our" bridge. This is NOT a statistics-and-engineering tour, I promise you!
Regular tours cost $12.95/adult, $9.95 for kids.... BUT since I run this program, I have the chance to offer FREE "sneak peek" tours to special friends and guests on the weekend before the tours debut to the public.
If you've driven over the bridge a million times but don't know why it's one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, or why it's international orange, or about the incredible dangers that workers had to face to build it, come learn!
Note: this tour is best for adults and kids age 6 and above. This is NOT a good tour for babies or toddlers because of its 45-minute length and proximity to bikes on the bridge sidewalk.

Perhaps we combine this "sneak peek" tour with a visit to Fort Point as well, or a hike on the Coastal Trail, or lunch at the Farley Bar at Cavallo Point afterwards?
Tour will begin PROMPTLY at 11:30 am. Please plan to arrive at the Round House AT LEAST 20 MINUTES IN ADVANCE to pick up your audio equipment.
Parking can be very challenging. I recommend going to the lots on the west side of the bridge. The employee lot is open to the public on weekends.
(BTW, this is NOT a "behind-the-scenes" tour. The tour is conducted all in public areas. You know, those pesky Homeland Security rules...)
