Yes: we'll meet in September, reading _Alexander Hamilton_ by Ron Chernow. Additional details are in the discussion threads.

Many interesting ideas and a general openess to different views of non-fiction reading.

I probably can't make Monday evening, but will go with whatever book everyone picks. Driving to and from D.C. area on a week night with the traffic will be difficult. But, the group sounds quite interesting so I'll hope we can meet on a weekend once in awhile or will try to get down there sometimes.

Yes, a library was my preference as well, but the DC locations with evening hours didn't have availability--we'll shoot for that for upcoming meetups. It will be a topic of discussion Monday. I have been to La Madeleine and the space is nice and quiet, especially on a monday night.

For those attending, as background, please take a look at the first discussion post. I've listed out all the books people indicated were their best reads: its a very nice list.

Most likely Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. I'm happy to have a discussion about it, though. I can't make weekends, but if there's interest and someone wants to organize it (perhaps on the off-months of our 2 month cycle) we could have a Sat/Sun meeting.

Is the group typically going to meet on weekdays or is this up for discussion at the meeting on Monday?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
