Join Kata Hyvarinen at the Universal Institute to Successful Aging of Carolinas (non-profit) to experience Tai-Chi-like moves with softer flowing motions that focus on proper balance, posture and body movement. At the end of the class some relaxation or meditation exercises may occur so you may want to bring a yoga mat or towel - though it is not required.
Exercise will be done standing however modifications can be made for anyone who cannot stand for long periods of time. This class is excellent for strengthening your spine.
Please dress in loose clothing, shoes will be removed for this class. Preregistration is required – this class is FREE.
Kata is from Finland where she studied body movement & mechanical therapy.
