Singing is more than an art. It is a healing art.

Remerging Voice Events are all about freeing the natural voice in all of us. We offer events that are fun, transforming and community driven.

We are all born singers. Life sometimes shuts down the remembrance of this fundamental right. ReMerge with us!

Below is info about some of our offerings.

CircleSinging can be described lots of ways: vocal improvisation, vocal “jamming”, add-a-part/change-a-part, vocal orchestra, “voicestra”, a “drum circle” for singers, or just plain “make it up” singing. It’s done all over the world in countless different ways and it dates back to the earliest forms of human singing.

CircleSongs originated from Bobby McFerrin's vocal improvisation style from the Bay Area. CircleSinging is different from song circles in that each song is an improvised A Cappella chorus / chant and done as a group. The group leader weaves the tapestry of motor, counterpoint, melody, harmony and rhythms. Within the group dynamic, opportunities for individual expression are encouraged but not required! We like to think of it as a "mistake-free zone." Comer experience the tribal, meditative and FUN that happens as we explore our voices together.

Voice Events at Holistic Voice Lab can help you explore improvisational singing and vocal jamming. We have regular CircleSong events as well as Tibetan Bowl & Chant-Along Meditation Concerts.

We are forming a new ensemble in the fall of 2015. Entry into this ensemble is based on participation in 7 Weeks of Vocal Improv Fun! We rehearse weekly and perform out in the community occasionally. Rehearsals are for all levels. In this iterative learning style, we touch on vocal technique, basic music theory, blending, listening and making vocal improvisation a beautiful expression of both group and individuation.

Improvisational Singing and CircleSinging:

Brings the community closer.

Connects us to ourselves.

Connects us with others.

Promotes self-confidence.

Creates a sacred space.

Releases emotions.

Creates a sense of joy and oneness.

When we sing together our hearts align and beat as one.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
