Plenty of parking available, get there before seven p.m. so we are sure to get seats. Please RSVP. Each writer is invited to read his or her work for the week, we suggest you write between 500 and 2000 words, and bring enough copies to share it with the other writers. If you enter your RSVP, each writer knows how many copies to bring.and who intends to read to the group.
Each member, in no particular order, reads to the group, then after each reading, each group member has an opportunity to add his or her comments or suggestions on ways to expand the memoir into a short story, novel, drama, or poem. This method gives the author suggestions and support on how to take what is sometimes merely a recollection of an event or a person, and to expand it into a finished piece of work. It's a tried and true method of taking a spark of an idea and by using group brainstorming methods, stimulating our creativity to produce a work of fiction, drama, or poetry from it.
