Villanova University required me and other math majors to take several semesters of Theology and Philosophy. I left Catholicism many years ago, preferring Yoga and Quakerism. Other influences include Buddhism, Jewish renewal, Tolstoi, C.G. Jung, Joseph Campbell and Jean Houston. The book that I most highly recommend is Riane Eisler's “Sacred Pleasures”. I have had formal Tantric training with Body Electric and Source School of Tantra. I have had individual instruction from Leah Alchin and Tanya Diamond. My wife and I started doing Tantra 12 years ago. In a committed relationship, the erotic can truly be a sacred spiritual path; an easier way to experience bliss than standard meditation. The dominant paradigms of Christianity and consumer capitalism both find sacred sex threatening, and attempt to marginalize it. Time to replace patriarchy with a partnership society.
I am bigendered and equally at home expressing as feminine or masculine.
Yes, if carefully facilitated.
I found my soul-mate 35 years ago, fell in love, got married, and lived happily ever after. I've done amateur massage for 34 years. I have traveled independently to 60 countries. My PhD in EE has included studying natural and artificial intelligence.
It is what we make it. Great discussion last night.
