Learning the Basics of Gardening - two part series with Ruth Yablonsky

Discover the difference between annuals and perennials. Learn how to choose a site for your garden; including, what kind of tools and supplies you need and how to prepare your site. Find out how to make your own compost, critter proof the garden and create raised beds. 

Saturday, October 19 10:00AM - 1:00 PM 

In this session you will learn where and how much to plant, weeding techniques and the various chemical options that exist to help maintain your garden. Other topics to be covered include: bugs as friends and foes, planting and placement and how to choose seeds vs. seedlings.
