Introduction
My name is Paul and I feel like I've been preparing for Homesteading all of my life... but with intention, I've been Homesteading for approximately the last 6 years. The one observation that I can make is that I should have started sooner :-) !!
Please provide a little detail about what you do at your Homestead already or what you would like to do when you start.
My interests are many, perhaps too many :-) . I am a beekeeper, a gardener, a welder, a designer; I preserve my own food, make my own soap, and drink homemade wine. I believe there is a happy balance between modern living with all it's conveniences and the more traditional approaches that connect people to the land, connect people to their food, and connect people to each other. Each person will have a different point of balance that is comfortable for them and that's part of the beauty of life. I embrace those differences and cherish the joy that it brings. Paul, Is the hike tomorrow rain or shine? This is my first outing and I don't have any real gear. Do I need anything special.. hiking boots, poles, etc? Sounds like a good workout. Should I be scared:)
