Bee Aware Extravaganza @ Whole Foods Market El Segundo

Stop by and meet our local urban beekeepers, Chelsea and Rob McFarland for a fun day of Bee-centric crafts and activities, educational handouts, pictures and more! We will even have an observation hive on display. HoneyLove will be the recipient of our Community Support – 5% Day on June 28th, so come learn directly from the experts themselves about community action and advocacy efforts to protect the health and well-being of honey bees and learn how to help legalize urban beekeeping in LA! It was fantastic, and everyone was so helpful. We learned a lot of good stuff. So now we we know how to supply water and where to get a hive and acc. So now we need to take the classes. I think we are hooked for sure now. So if you have not gone before go now. Thank you very much to everyone.

We have a water fountain in our backyard with little stones that the bees can land on :-) But it could be as simple as the bottom of a terracotta pot filled with rocks that you water - anything is better than your neighbors pool!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
