Informative and comfortable. I thought it might go off-topic a bit but I was glad for all the extra information and inspiration.

I purchased a hive box from LA Honey about a month ago and the pheromones to attract a queen. No luck. Tomorrow I am hoping to get whatever tools I can to help attract a local hive.

what is the difference between a swarm box and a box for a hive? Can I bring two well behaved kids?

    January 24, 2013

    • ceebs

A swarm box is basically a small, crude version of a hive box. Big enough to catch an average swarm and entice them to stay but not big enough to house or grow a colony in.

Own part of a trailer park off PCH near Sunset. Would like to put a swarm box there with your advice on its location.
