Studio Night (June 16th): Purple Movie Night! For Charity!

This Sunday, for the first time, we are holding a charity movie night in support of Enlighten - Action for Epilepsy Hong Kong (enlightenhk.org). If you would like to help us choose from the diverse set of film options we'll be bringing, please arrive by 7:15pm.

In Hong Kong, there are 60,000+ people affected by epilepsy and most live in isolation because of the stigma and myths associated with it. Enlighten will be accepting donations on the evening and, as part of the arrangement, the Brew House has generously offered to provide two bowls of punch (on the house) in addition to sending a portion of the proceeds from a special combo meal to charity.

Purple is the color representing epilepsy awareness, so please consider wearing a purple garment to show your support.

We're in the basement of the Hong Kong Brewhouse, our usual venue, which provides plenty of food and drink for you to enjoy with the film (which is English-subtitled regardless of spoken language).

I gain more information about epilepsy after I watched the movie. I would never think of epilepsy could destroy a person's life if he doesn't have a good family and social support.

Hey, Derek! This was the first time we've had any charity - including Enlighten - work with us to put together an event. Hopefully it won't be the last! Thanks for coming!
