What you will learn...
Introduction:
• Principles of First Aid • Chain of Survival
• Emergency Management Procedure • The Care Cycle

Scene Safety:
• Scene Survey • Exposure protection
• Risk to Rescuer • Barrier Devices

Basic Life Support:
• Primary Survey and Reassessment • Clearing the Airway
• Recovery Position • CPR Infant, Child & Adult
• Alternative Ventilation Procedures • Introduction to AED’s
• Choking Infant, Child & Adult

Life Threatening Conditions:
• Shock Management • Severe Bleeding
• Anaphylaxis

Others:
• Heat emergencies • Febrile convulsions
• Burns and scalds • Minor injuries
• First Aid Kits

Intended Participants: Individuals required to provide immediate first aid care for adults, infants and children, including parents, teachers and domestic helpers

Prerequisite: No previous experience required. Minimum age 14

Accreditation: First Aid International (UK) Paediatric Emergency First Aid Certificate

Certificate Validity: 3 years from date of completion
