Sailing on "Laughing Water" at La Marianna Sailing Club

Directions: The boat is at slip C-10 (dock closest to airport) at the La Marianna Sailing Club, located off Sand Island Access Rd. (Google it).  There is a locked gate to enter the dock; if the gate is unlocked you may come aboard the boat and wait for us.  One of us usually will check for folks at the gate about 15 minutes before the sailing time, (and then ask the last person to arrive to hold the gate open until the next crew-member arrives.  If you are running late (no more than 15 minutes and phone Capnmike, we will wait for you.  His Phone number is 780-9174 or Aaron at [masked].  Please do not call him except to cancel or say you are running a few minutes late (or are lost). There are restrooms at the marina restaurant and we strongly suggest that you use them prior coming through the marina gate.

Please: BYOB and also BYOJ (Bring your own Joke). Capn Mike prefers Budweiser (and not Bud Light) and the crew will certainly appreciate if you bring some beer for them to enjoy.

Please DO NOT BRING any big coolers/backpacks/bags larger than 18"x18", and DO NOT bring any glass bottles.

Do bring: sun lotion, swimsuit/towel, jacket, hat, sunglasses (with keeper-cords), drinks, snacks, a few good jokes, and ice.  It's OK to bring 1 large bottle (mixer or water) and 1 bottle of booze, or up to 24 cans of drink (no bottles). We currently do not have refrigeration, but plan to install it soon; till that happens a little extra ice is welcome.

Note: we require that you drink no more than one alcoholic drink per hour while sailing, (i.e no more than 3 drinks aboard during our regular sailings). Please keep in mind that being drunk on a boat is very hazardous to yourself, the boat, and to others aboard. Also: if you are offended by any particular jokes or comments, or hassled by anyone, aboard: please let us know AFTER the sailing; if we get more than 1 complaint about a particular joke/person/comment we'll try to rectify the irritation (without giving out your name). We try to keep the jokes/commentary relatively clean and entertaining, but if you are offended by most of the jokes/comments then sailing on "Laughing Water" is not for you
