Beginners are welcome and are able to use English. The members who know Japanese will support the beginners.

日本語が母国語である参加者は、日本語学習者の日本語力向上のため、最初の60分間は日本語で会話をすること。

日本語学習者が会話を理解していない場合に限り、英語を用いて会話の内容を説明、補足すること。これにより、すべての参加者が会話に参加することを図る。

Dividing groups

If we have many participants, an organizer will divide the group based on Japanese level.

If an organizer creates subgroups, He or she will appoint a facilitator for each subgroup.

After having a group conversation for 60 minutes, we will end the group activity. It will be free conversation time. You are free to leave or you can stay and talk about any topic you like with anyone in Japanese or English.

Basic Beginner Class:

The beginner class is open to anyone who is just starting to learn Japanese. This is truly for beginners which means we will start by learning Hiragana and Katakana. There is a teacher who will teach you basic Japanese. This is a formal style teacher/student class and not a free discussion/social time. Anyone who is unable to speak basic Japanese or write Hiragana/Katakana is encouraged to join this class. The class is conducted mostly in English. We will play games and learn Japanese!

Note :

Anybody who wants to facilitate future meetings are welcome to do so. Please let Masahito know.

Please let Masa know if you want to talk about any particular topic.

Mahalo, Thanks, ありがとう

I love the discussion because I always learn something new. I learned some new words as well as some things about Japanese baths. Great class! and kudos to Kazu-sensei!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
