We are Japanese natives and Hawaii locals, and are organizing a group for beginner, intermediate, advance level Japanese conversation. This is not a class; rather, it is a group for practicing conversation with fellow learners and native speakers.

Come to practice Japanese. The group will gather informally to chat, make new friends, learn about other cultures and maybe find a language exchange partner. Come share your Japanese language skills while socializing and meeting interesting people.

Dividing groups

If we have many participants, an organizer will divide the group based on Japanese level.

If an organizer creates subgroups, He or she will appoint a facilitator for each subgroup.

After having a group conversation for 60 minutes, we will end the group activity. It will be free conversation time. You are free to leave or you can stay and talk about any topic you like with anyone in Japanese or English.

Note:

Anybody who wants to facilitate future meetings are welcome to do so. Please let Masahito know.

Please let Masa know if you want to talk about any particular topic.

Mahalo, Thanks, ありがとう

great topic. growing up with a Japanese mother then being thrown into mainstream mainland culture was a detriment; not knowing how to instinctively claw one's way to the top and bragging about it to boot.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
