An appeal for a Veterans widow and family

I promised to keep email to a minimum, however, I know some of you would want to know about what follows. Many of you knew Danny Nunn, probably better than me.

This is an appeal for expertise, your wise counsel and financial support if you’re moved to do so. Forward it on with the Family’s blessing and appreciation.

As I type this I’m reminded of the story of the Sheep, Wolves and Sheepdogs some of us discussed many months ago. (For those that missed it visit http://www.patriotwat... after you read this email)

Tonight I ask you all to think about a Sheepdog turned Good Shepherd whose life in the US Army, US Air Force and after retirement, in his community. It is so exemplary of our Greatest Generation. His passing was a great loss to all who knew and loved the man. Meeting with his son today broke my heart. I don’t know what to do but the circumstance that brought his son John to our door demands we do something. What we know so far is the many organizations and agencies Danny gave so freely of his time and talents have not responded in kind.

We don’t have all the facts yet but there’s some concern Danny’s widow may have been victimized by the same lenders that have contributed to so much heartache for families all over our nation. As facts come our way we’ll appeal to every expert we can find for an immediate solution and a longer term plan to save the family Homestead before April 2, 2009. As we have in years past, we’ll try to tap the power of the Internet to raise the $5,800 needed to stop the public sale and save the home.
