http://patriotwatch. com/cheights.jpg When duty called Bret Daniels was there Normally we do not get involved in politics. It seems many nonprofits don't follow that rule these days. We want to accomplish two things at one event for those who can take an early lunch next Monday. 1. Show our appreciation to a local leader that has always support our military and their families. 2. Expand our PDN mission as the support group for the new Veterans Service Center in Sacramento County after the City of Sacramento turned their back on our veterans. Yes, Bret Daniels is running for Sheriff of Sacramento County. PDN, Inc. doesn't endorse candidates but we do recognize those public servants that go above and beyond to support our military families, service members, veterans past and present: We know many of the fine men and women in the Sheriff's Department are veterans of prior military service. Now that the Veterans Service Center is open in the county, an elected Sheriff with a strong history of support for our joint mission would be an asset. When Sacramento passed its "Cut and Run" Resolution to abandon Operation Iraqi Freedom, Bret Daniels lead the charge to pass: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CITRUS HEIGHTS, CALIFORNIA SUPPORTING THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES IN HIS ACTION TO DISARM THE REGIME OF SADDAM HUSSEIN AND DECLARING THE CITY’S SUPPORT FOR THE WOMEN AND MEN OF OUR ARMED FORCES IN THE PERSIAN GULF AND ELSEWHERE IN THE WORLD AS THEY SERVE OUR NATION Many of our new members have asked what they do to help our Meetup group. We will discuss that in detail with Mary Lou McNeil who made the Veterans Service Center come to be after years of resistance in the city. It's only natural we work with Mary Lou and also Bret, whose favorite saying is "Obstacles only produce opportunities." Toys for the Troops Kids is a project Bret is involved with and we hope all our members will support this Christmas. We hope you can make it Monday.

UNITED WE STAND ? IN HONOR WE WALK! Operation Homefront Sacramento whose mission is to provide emergency services to military families in Northern California and its allied organizations are proud to announce Freedom Walk and 911 Memorial Concert 2006. The Memorial Concert will feature our local musical artists, inspirational themes of choir and vocal renditions in tribute to our veterans and area?s first responders. The program will begin at 7:00 PM and conclude with a candle light walk through the park at 9-9:30 PM. While it is our goal to spend the evening honoring you and your peers, we would be honored if you would consider leading our candle light walk. On this day, throughout the country, in venues large and small, citizens will gather to participate in 9/11 Memorial Freedom Walks. The act of walking together as a nation will be unique in design and execution, uniting our citizens behind a commitment to never forget the lives we lost in the attacks on our country. 9/11 Freedom Walk and Memorial Concert will renew our commitment to freedom and our nation?s unique values. It will honor our firefighters, law enforcement officers, first responders, veterans past and present. It is non-partisan and non-political. The candle light walk will serve as a symbol of our nation's diversity and unity of spirit. Your participation would go a long way towards etching this special remembrance in the young minds that will be present with their families.
