Knit in public!

A decision has been made at the 11th hour.

We'll meet at Downtown Park in Bellevuehttp://www.bellevue.com/attraction.php?id=168

Bring a lawn chair and a cooler with a drink and a little something for everyone to share. Please remember a $1 for the fish bowl. You can keep your shoes on. ha ha

Park in the lot next to the children's playground - this is on NE 1st Street just off 100 Ave NE.  If this is full, there is another lot further east also on NE 1st Street.

Sunscreen would be a good idea .... some of us have delicate pale skin and we're supposed to have some sun ............weather forecast is partly cloudy.

Head to the picnic table area which is north of the kids play area. We can use these if we like as it has not been reserved. So it is first come first serve.

Thanks Joy

Sounds like a plan! There is also a Safeway with a Starbucks near the park.

If weather is bad, there is always Bellevue Square Food Court on the second floor. There is plenty of seating . . . just a thought

So is parking at the mall garage, or is there a different place to park?

    June 14, 2013

    • Carolyn

There is outdoor parking next to the children's play equipment.

I'm in. It's a lovely park, especially when it's sunny. Are you'll all there

Weather on Saturday - partly cloudy, 75 degrees with a 10% chance of precipitation. Okay ladies .... we need to come up with a spot. How about the Downtown Park across from Bellevue Square Mall? Bring a lawn chair and cooler. We could meet at the SW end near the children's playground. What do you think? Does anyone know where the bathrooms are? If you don't like this idea, we could always meet at my place .... I know ..... not what you had in mind but its an option.

I love Bellevue Downtown Park, so I'm in!

Sounds like fun. Parking is nearby. Restrooms are on the east side of the park, not far to walk.

The most high profile might be Bellevue Square but I don't know about seating areas.

Have we determined a place to meet yet?

I am ALL for sidewalk urban cafes -- grew up surrounded with those, they're actually in my blood now. There's a large Starbucks cafe in Kenmore that I enjoy a lot, and our visibility would be guaranteed! Any takers?

Carolyn has come up with some great ideas. Robinswood Park is a great idea if the weather is good - we could do a picnic type thing. I can call and see if we can rent it. Only downside with this idea is if the weather is poor. And where are the restrooms? ha ha

I like that idea. Also, the big Bellevue Library is high traffic. If the weather is nice, then the Kirkland waterfront will have a lot of people, but parking can be challenging. Might have to park at the Kirkland library and walk six blocks down, toting your camping chair. Robinswood Park for nice weather?

Alright folks - what is the most high profile place in Bellevue/Redmond/Issaquah/Kirkland? (Should have just said on the east side....). We need to lock down a location. Am looking for ideas. We could take a walk down memory lane and do it at Panerra at Factoria - you know, take over the outside seating area.
