Road trip to Churchmouse Yarns on Bainbridge Island

We'll hop a ferry and visit Churchmouse Yarns & Tea on Bainbridge Island. We'll be on the 10:35 am ferry departing Seattle. Let's carpool - we'll make arrangements offline as soon as we know who's interested in going. Most likely scenario is that we'll meet at Joy's at 9:30 am and then head downtown to the ferry terminal.

The store hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

We can try for the 3:50 or 4:35 pm ferry returning to Seattle.

I totally agree - had a blast! But next time I'm not sitting next to Oksana when I have cherries. There are two yarn shops in Juneau ..... the ultimate road trip .... July 2014, cruise to Alaska!! All aboard??

okay. New plan. Everyone be at the station in time to catch the 10:35 am ferry as a walk on. Sound okay? Anyone wanting to catch a ride with me (otto is driving) just let me know and be at the house no later than 9:45 am because that is when the ottoman is departing "Stephens Gate Manor" for the ferry terminal.

**CORRECTION** only one spot left in the ottovan!! Oksana, wanna ride with us? You're close by in BVU.

BVU is the acronym transportation companies use for Bellevue. Sorry for the use of jargon.

We have a couple of options.
    1. Otto can drive us down but our vehicle is only large enough to hold four hookers/castoffs. He will also pick us up afterwards.
    2. We can take transit down.
    3. if we leave early enough, we won't have to worry about the jets game, right?

Since I'm coming from the north end, I can opt out of meeting at Joy's house and taking one of the limited carpool spots. I'll just take a bus downtown and meet everyone at the ferry terminal.

I plan to take a bus down or be dropped off at the ferry station. Everything is in walking distance so it would be fine and cheaper to be a walk on

It's only $4 to park at the station for the day. I'll just go there.

Mary has a good suggestion ..... taking the light rail from the Mt Baker station, getting off at Pioneer Square and walking the few blocks to the terminal.

Seafair/hydro races/Patriots jet team are this weekend, so I-90 will have closures and backups throughout the day. Do we want to try and do Churchmouse another weekend or continue as planned?

I'm good either way. I'm thinking about taking the light rail from the Mt Baker station, getting off at Pioneer Square and walking the few blocks to the terminal.

    • Linda

I think that would be something to consider. It could be a real zoo with the Seafair stuff going on.
