I will never forget the day when I fell head over heals in love with my first yarn project! Couldn't-put-it-down-stayed-up-way-too-late-and-was-tired-at-work-the-next-day kind of love. Have you had this happen to you?  Join us and we'll explore and share our yarn-love together.

This group is for all levels of crocheters, knitters and any other kinds of crafty types. Let's see how many I can rattle off...cross-stitch, rug hooking, Macrame', beading, embroidery, artists of any type, scrap booking, and I'm sure there are hundreds of others...but that will do for now...I think you get the point!

Our group is very open, friendly and willing to share, teach and learn! If you have a craft you want to learn or teach, this is the group for you.  If you like having wild fun while eating and laughing and crafting (yes, we are SUPER talented, doing all that at the same time!) then join us! The "& Co." part of our name includes everyone "else"!

On a personal level, I teach crochet.  I love teaching crochet and I love crocheting. I learned how to crochet in High School from my Aunt Mary Kay (she's been to a couple of the Meetup's, if you're lucky, you might get to meet her!) Through this group, I learned how to knit and decided that I really don't like knitting (it's just not relaxing to me).  I'm currently working on learning how to be a rug hooker (once a hooker, always a hooker, huh?  LOL!) So, whether you've never picked up a hook or a needle before (or whatever implement you choose to utilize for your creative expression) and you'd like to learn, you're a seasoned expert, or somewhere in-between, this group is for you.

We share our knowledge and experience with each other, share patterns, and share the common thread that holds our hearts hostage, yarn. Most importantly, we share a love for the craft of crocheting and knitting ....and all artistic, creative expression.

In the short time this Meetup has been happening, we have had many, many belly laughs, shared all kinds of exciting news and information, and the most beautiful thing that has happened are the friendships have developed alongside the projects and many talents.

This is by no means required by anyone and I want to put this here so it's very clear.  We ask at the Meetups for a $1 donation to help cover the cost of hosting the meetup.  I am charged money to host the site and Meetups and the $1 goes towards that cost.  We also ask folks to bring something snackie to eat and share with everyone.  Again, this is not required and if you don't bring anything, not even a red penny or a cookie crumb, we will still insist that you eat, drink, and share in the fun!

We hope to see you (and your hook, or needle, or ?) at a meetup soon!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
