The Power of Community (Inspiring Peace, Love & Happiness)

We've all read a tonne of books, attended workshops, retreats and evening courses. Some of you are now teachers, coaches, counselor and healers. We've seen inspired movies, developed greater awareness, and discovered spiritual practices that have improved our personal well being.

Unfortunately, as we all know the predominant waters of the greater collective culture remains fear based, scarcity based, individualistic and highly competitive. As a result each day we must continue to practice non-attachment, mindfulness and patience just to maintain a level of inner contentment in times of such global and local struggle. Through this journey we are discovering the divine power of our inner guidance to help serve us, give us direction, personal meaning and perhaps even to be of service to others.

However, I also believe we are social creatures and benefit when we are connected with those that care, those that encourage and those that awaken in us something very real. The Power of Community does not come from one belief system, one ideology or even one master. The Power of Community occurs when there are mutually agreed principles for which we communicate, discuss and explore new possibilities and experience new ways of being. The Power of Community occurs when we are free to be ourselves, to laugh out loud, to create, to imagine and to be spontaneous. The Power of Community is ultimately something we can all contribute, learn and benefit from.

Details of Event:

On Thursday June 9th, I'd like to offer a night where we embrace fully the power of community. On this particular evening, participants will have an opportunity to choose topics related to subjects around Peace, Love, Happiness and anything else that you feel would help inspire a more enriching life for yourself and perhaps even the lives of others.

By using a technique called Open Space Technology, all members will have a chance to break into small groups to contribute and learn about topics they are interested in. At any time during the night, you feel you would like to join another group, you have that absolute right and freedom to do so. At the end of the night we will all reconvene to share our personal and small group findings. Trust me when I say this is a truly brilliant way to maximize the greatest resource of all, our HUMAN POTENTIAL.

*On the night of I will re-explain the guideline and principles of the event in greater detail to ensure everyone fully comprehends the purpose and intention.
