Welcome!

The mission of Hostelling International is, "to help all, especially the young gain a greater understanding of the world and its people through hostelling." We are looking for travelers in the Detroit area, who would like to share their travel experiences with new and experienced travelers.
Our volunteers conduct Travel Education presentations at schools, Girl Scout meetings, libraries, businesses and civic organization meetings.
We are also looking for volunteers who would like to assist with our "Opening Doors, Opening Minds" programs for high schoolers. The programs include: "Community Walls," "Cultural Kitchen" and "Exchange Neighborhoods." We work with a variety of museums, schools and nonprofits to present the programs.
