Denise,

I'm so sorry to hear about your circumstances.  I remember when the Dr. told me that I had MS and for two weeks that's what I believed until they did one more MRI and discovered it was  an old spot on my brain that had died (the same area that showed I had MS) due to Chemo that I went through as a child when I was diagnosed with (ALL) a type of childhood Leukemia.    It's scary and the unknown is the worst, but I agree with Debbie and having support makes all the difference in the world!  My support back then was my family, but I also discovered CanCare!  I now work for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and we also have a support group and people you can talk to.  Please let me know if I can guide you in any way or give you support myself!    The power of pray does wonders and I will for sure keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Blessings,
Misty

Denise,

God bless you!  I will pray for you.  I just finished 6 months of chemo for non-Hodgkins Lymphoma myself, so I know what you are going through.  I had so many people praying for me, and I know it helped; I felt them lift me up. I really believe that that is why I had it so amazingly easy compared to what so many others are going through.

Be exceedingly good to yourself and get plenty of rest.   No matter what, remember, this too will pass.   Hair and "the girls" can be covered up.  They are not what makes us women, nor who we are.   Call CanCare and get a Cancer Buddy.   Someone who has been through your particular cancer will be assigned.  You can call them anytime and they are so very very helpful.  When no one else understands what you are going through or how you sense of priorities and what is important in life has changed, THEY DO.   Keep your chin up and stay positive.  It will get you through.

Best of luck to you.

Dear Members,

Want to Thank Everyone who is an active participant in this group - you are Much Appreciated! Due to circumstances, this group is a "Member Run" group, meaning that I pay the dues, and members step up and organize meet-ups.

I know that some of you are aware that I've not been very active in this group for a while, and it's time to explain. I have been diagnosed with breast cancer, which was mistreated for 9 months as a "staph infection" by a Houston "Breast Disease Specialist". Due to this mistreatment, the cancer had the opportunity to spread, and I am fighting Metatastic Breast Cancer in my bones.

Many Times Life Just Ain't Fair.

If you have a minute, please stop by my website, read my blog and leave me comments of encouragement - they would be Much Appreciated! And Please, if you find it in your heart, please pass my website along to others!
