    Awesome Hike Hugo.

I didn't get skeeter bites, but I did get some ant bites. My calves were hurting so bad Monday, I had a hard time walking. Forget going down our stairs. I think I am almost recovered when I took my dog out this morning. I just couldn't run.

I enjoyed the hike. Have to workout my numbing fingers as well. Felt the effects of the walk after, especially in my calves - guess those are muscles I do not use as much, regularly? Maybe. Looking forward to meeting everyone at the next hike in Cypress.

Thank you Hugo! It was lots of fun!! I feel relieved I didn't suffer as much from skeeter bites as I feared, and since
I only got two minor scratches and two blisters and no heatstroke I loved it!

Another nice find by Hugo, the park had a good variety of trails and scene ties. The group did a good combination of pace and staying together..and an especially good job of socializing after at a very good location

I haven't hiked in quite a while (most comparable thing is 6 mile charity walk). Anyone have any input/advice on this hike, i.e. length and difficulty? Just trying to gauge whether to go.

Get a belt bag with some snacks and water .... Get a hat to avoid sun, perhaps sun glasses, light color clothes, comfortable walking shoes (Nike the best )...

      Thanks.

As always, people interested in giving rides or looking for a ride in the Hermann Park/Museum District area or nearby or on the way, let's meet at the community center at 2020 Hermann Drive and be ready to leave by 7:15 AM. I have room for 3 people.

      September 12, 2013

    • Gillian

Hello Joe, thanks for the ride. I am guessing we can leave mo city at 7am. I can meet you at the HEB/Wellsfargo parking lot (sienna parkway & hwy 6) , if that is okay with you. What is your cell phone number, so we can coordinate better, so you can email me your cell phone number at [masked]. Thanks again for your generosity.

Can some one please tell me the "shade factor" on this hike?

    1 · September 10, 2013

    • Ann Epstein V.

My sister wants to know who is going to sweep me? Do I get a whistle?

      2 · September 10, 2013

    • Hugo

Hehe... You'll be getting a walkie talkie and perhaps a whistle as well ;-)

Thank you Rafael, I did look thru the various links but was not able to determine the "shade factor". I appear to be a delicate flower and need to be cautious because I don't want to die and/or be a nuisance. ; - )

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
