A WORD OF CAUTION ON THESE URBAN BAYOU HIKES: WILD ANIMALS MAY BE LESS OF A RISK BUT HUMAN ANIMALS ARE NOT, ESPECIALLY THE ONES THAT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF VALUABLES LEFT OUT ON THE OPEN IN YOU CARS OR WHO SEE YOU PUTTING THEM IN YOUR TRUNK. SO PLEASE DON'T BRING VALUABLES AND IF YOU DO THEN TAKE THEM WITH YOU ON THE HIKE.
The Hike: Now that we know the easier, grassland, route to the bayou from Bill Crowely Park, we will take it and head West on the parks side towards Aldine Westfield Rd where we switch to the other side of the bayou for our return. For a map of the hike CLICK HERE.

Gathering Place: As you enter the park, go to the left (Bus arrow). The first parking lot in your right is the one where we should be at.
