On the route map, CLICK HERE, we will first follow the blue arrow-hash track then the red and then ending with the long yellow arrow-hash track

My phone in case you get lost:[masked]

Gathering Place:  After entering Tom Bass III from Cullen then turn right into the frist parking lot you see.  The group should be visible at the lot somewhere there or near the restrooms.

This the 3rd bayou we take on in our pursuit to explore the trails and parks on and near the 10 bayous that define hiking in Houston.  For a list of the bayous CLICK HERE.

For this bayou, it is the 8th of  ~8 hikes doing Clear Creek from East to West.

The cross country through the heavy brush might of been better, quite a bit of poison ivy. The rest of the hike went good. Thanks for hosting it.

Enjoyed the hike - even the brambles. Its always good to 'step off the path' to extend ourselves once in a while! Thanks again and I will be seeing you next time!

I enjoyed the hike and the heat was the biggest issue. I enjoyed the brambles and grateful for the trailblazers that led the charge. Thanks Zada for inviting me and driving!

Really enjoyed my first hike with the group! The miles weren't bad, but it's definitely hot in Houston. :)

It was a good hike. I enjoyed going off trail but if I'd know I would dressed a little bit differently. As always the company was great. Lots of laughs.

Thank you everyone who came. This has been one of our more challenging hikes.

Thank you for all your replies. Surely don't expect whole group to adjust for me..ya'll don't even know me yet:) Just trying to determine whether group ever does shorter hikes..like say once a month; once a quarter?
I am interested in your outings and generally don't have time to hike every weekend anyway because of my job. I am just trying to decide whether to continue to monitor this groups excursions. Thanks.

A person can always stop and go back early. Some hikes are more ammenable than others to this strategy. This hike is one of those.

Cynthia, You may be used to the world revolving around you, but I should let you know that we are not likely to change even if we get to know your better qualities. Not that we are a bunch of insensitive clods, but this group is about uncommon acceptance that hiking is within us all and available nearby.

We would love to attend but this group's hikes are too long. Is this a group for more seasoned hikers?

Remember too, houston is a lot flatter than Austin so the miles will feel differently; they also feel different in the cooler season vs the hotness going on right now.

    TYPO

Just so long as YOUR dog likes other dogs we are ok.

There is however a dog fee. It is double the per person hiking fee that every person pays.

I second the dog question. I think I will come as long as no one has a problem with a beagle coming with me.
