The Hike: We start at the parking lot for the Seabrook Sports complex, just behind City Hall.  We cross the sports field to access the Hike & Bike Trail.  We then follow the route as indicated in the map: CLICK HERE

Parking & Meeting Point: Park in the parking lot just behind City Hall at the corner of Anders Ave and Cook Avenue.  I believe its parking for the Sport complex but it may also be part of the elementary school nearby.  Review the map above to get a rough idea where the place is.

Optional After Hike Event : We head over the bridge to Kemah and do an additional ~1/4 mile on the boardwalk as we inspect places for deciding where to eat.  I vote for a crab place :-)

I had a very nice time. I met many nice people, and got an opportunity to hike a trail that never knew existed.
I commend Hugo (and his entourage) for their hard work organizing this hike, and the effort he took to ensure we were alright, and stayed on the trail at key intersections.
The trail itself had some nice parts, and some so-so parts, but overall I was very happy that I attended this event.

Some of us may do the Ferry ride just for fun after the "after-hike". It depends if there is not a long wait to get on it. Can discuss at the after-hike but my carpool will try. If there is no crowd its just ~ 15 minute roduntrip I've heard.

Yes you can do half the distance. I can let you know the turn around point.

I have a broken leg that has not yet healed. 7 miles walk will probably kill me. Is it possible for me to do half the distance? I live in Midtown and can car pool one person in my car. If you are interested in car pooling with me, just drive to my house and we'll go from there.

I'm about 10 minutes away from galleria (Beltway 8 and 59 south) and would also like to carpool.

It is easy for me to meet anywhere along 59. I haven't been to the Galleria, so I don't know where that is exactly.
