Houston Clutter Coaching July Meetup

At the July meetup, we’ll check in on the project we introduced in June: “Squeaky Clean Organizing Strategies for Your Bathroom.” Come tell the group about your progress and we’ll share hints about how to keep rolling.

We’ll also introduce our focus for August: “Blenders and Peelers and Whisks, Oh My! Decluttering the Kitchen.” It’s the heart of the house, the traditional family meeting space, and the most popular room at every party: the kitchen. But too often, it’s so packed full of “must-have“ gadgets, stained Tupperware, and antique ingredients that there’s no space left for cooking. We’ll delve into the notion of “usefulness” and define a more honest standard for deciding what belongs in your perfect kitchen.

As usual, we’ll also open the floor to your questions, success stories, and tales of trouble spots.

We’ll have refreshments, and don’t forget the drawing for a door prize or two! (You must be present to win.)

Wonderful group of veteran cooks to help with kitchen decluttering advice! Thanks to all who participated - we had a great time. I think we all got a kick out of the answers to the July trivia question about the most useless kitchen gadget. The big winner was a potato chip peeler - seemed very useless to me! Always a pleasure to present to this group.

I enjoyed hearing other people talk about theri problem areas. There was lots of laughter and I left determined to get through at least one area before the next meeting.

Another great meeting! I always get inspired when I attend the meetings. It gives me the courage and to toss or give away what I really don't need or use.

As always, Gayle is an entertaining presentor who encourages audience participation. There were little gems of advice from her and the attendees (loved the anecdotes) and good tips about organizing the kitchen. It gave me the motivation I needed to downsize some of those unused items I was holding onto. (I got rid of a dozen drinking glasses that I did not need or use!)

Fantastic. The "Coach" was terrific. Brought up points to learn through good sense of humor. Had great interaction with the attending group. Even members of the group interacted great with each other.
