Hi to all the new people who have signed up in January! I hope you will find this group supportive and educational. We talk about clutter, why it happens, and what we can do to address it. Each month I speak for a short time on some aspect of dealing with clutter, and then you can ask any question you like about your own situation.
Our first meetup for the year is already here - tomorrow night (Thursday) the topic will be ?Getting Organized in the New Year: Rethinking Resolutions.? We?ll talk about New Year?s resolutions?and why they don?t always work. I'll offer suggestions about how to keep your organizing goals from collapsing before March. We?ll check in about what we accomplished (or didn?t) in 2009, and what?s next.
I hope you can make it. Even if you just drop in at the last minute, you are always welcome! We always have some snacks and drinks, and we end promptly at 8:30p because we have to get out of the library space on time. So, if you are new member, or a member from 2009 who never got around to joining us, please come to the meetup and see what we can offer you. There are some good success stories happening!
I look forward to meeting you - Gayle Goddard, The Clutter Fairy
• You’d like to invite the new neighbors over for dinner, but you’ve lost track of the dining room table.
• You bought a birthday card for your favorite niece, but you can’t find it, so you run to the store to buy another...two days late.
• You’re ready to get organized, so you buy $100 worth of filing supplies. Before long, the new office supplies are buried under a couple of weeks’ accumulation of junk mail.
Clutter saps your energy and keeps you from getting what you want. Are you ready to get rid of the clutter in your home or workplace, but you don’t know where to start? Or maybe you’ve made progress, but your decluttering project is stalled?
