Join us for one of the most unique events in Houston—the American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb! On March 24, 2012, hundreds of people will huff and puff their way to the top of the First City Tower in Houston for a great cause. This is more than your same-old 5K. This event is a vertical race to climb 48 floors. Whether climbing for a winning time or simply to cross the finish line, in honor or in memory of someone with lung disease, the Houston Fight for Air Climb guarantees a newfound respect for healthy lungs! This Meet-up group is open to families and individuals who are interested in joining together in a stair climb to support the American Lung Association. This event will raise awareness for 35 million Americans who suffer from Lung Cancer, Asthma, COPD, and will take place on March 24, 2011, in the First City Tower. Check in begins at 7:00 am. You may decide to start your own team and climb, or volunteer the day of the event. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are also available. Register online at www.fightforairclimb.org. There is a $25 registration fee, and in order to climb the day of the event, you must meet your individual fund-raising goal of a of $100 minimum. Climbers will receive an official 2012 Houston Fight for Air Climb T-shirt, a goody-bag and refreshments.
