Welcome to the Houston Super Secret Science Club! Founded in 2010, our goal is to host cool, fun and illuminating meetups focusing on science and issues related to science in and around greater Houston. These include gatherings at the many science-related lectures held at area universities and other educational institutions, visits to museums, field trips to places like the Bat Bridge at Waugh Drive, and social mixers at local pubs and restaurants.

The idea to make these meetups entertaining and interesting to the lay community as well as those from the ranks of professional scientists. Anyone can join -- you don't need a Ph.D., just some curiosity.

This is an an independent Science Cafe group Inspired by (BUT NOT AFFILIATED WITH)  New York's world famous Secret Science Club and the Science Cafe movement (promoting science related activities throughout the world).

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
