The Houston Urban Raw Vegan Potluck Meetup Group Message Board › City Hall Farmer's Market re-opens Wednesday, September 7.
Urban Harvest's Farmer's Market at City Hall is kicking off its fall season on Wednesday, September 7, 11am - 2pm, at 901 Bagby, around the reflecting pool in front of City Hall.
The market features local farmers, vendors, and artisans from within a 50 mile radius of Houston, and will be open Wednesdays, 11 - 2, thru the winter season.
Vendor of the Week: Green Seed Vegan (YAY!)
One of two new food trucks at the City Hall Farmers Market, Green Seed Vegan is serving up local plant based, soy free cuisine for all who have pondered on the thought of eating vegan, are curious to try out, or who simply want to eat some good wholesome veggies for lunch. The truck was opened earlier this year by Matti Merrell and Rodney Perry to great success. Since day one they have supported local farms and urban gardens, incorporating seasonal, local produce into every bite. This Wednesday, go ahead and take a veggie break.
Other vegan eateries to be at Wednesday's market:
Pat Greer's Kitchen
Chef Demos : Rebecca Masson of Fluff Bake Bar and recent star of Bravo's Top Chef : Just Desserts series will be sampling some of her sweet treats. Jamie Zelko of Zelko Bistro will be doing a chef demo of her classic comfort food.
Featured Non-Profit : Recipe for Success will sell their herb bouquets and promote their SPICE Guild Membership Drive and Recipe House After School Classes.
