Thank you for your interest in Women in the Wind and the Bayou City Sisters Chapter.  Women in the Wind was founded by Becky Brown in Toledo, Ohio in 1979 in order to educate women on motorcycle safety and maintenance, unite women motorcyclists and promote a postive image to the public of women on motorcyles. The Bayou City Sisters Chapter was formed on this Meetup site in September 2009 and we became a fully chartered chapter of Women in the Wind on February 20, 2010. We will operate under the National bylaws of Women in the Wind as well as our own Chapter bylaws.  We became a Probationary Member of the Texas Confederation of Clubs on February 27, 2010.

The Bayou City Sisters pride themselves on being active riders and schedule several events per month, even during the winter. The Chapter meets monthly, schedules a "Ladies Bike Night" at a different location through out the riding season and participates in a wide variety of rides, rallies and charitable events throughout the year.

The Bayou City Sisters welcome women riders on all makes and models of motorcycles and with any range of motorcycling experience. We advocate safe riding practices and encourage members to ride within their own level of comfort. We will assist newly-riding members in learning to ride within a group while providing opportunities for experienced riders to rack up the miles on challenging group rides.
