I'm a huge fan of the Doctor, and a pretty huge fan of meeting others like me. I work in Houston and live in The Woodlands (but hoping to escape suburbia soon). I enjoy adventures with good folks, finding awesome vegetarian meals, and painting.
I was introduced to Doctor Who about two years ago from a close friend. He and I watched "Blink", and I fell in love with the show and concept right away. I ended up catching up on all the seasons (or tried to since there were times I couldn't check out the DVDs from the library) the day after. I have a great grasp on the 2005 til now Doctor and what is going on. I no longer have BBCA, but I get my hands on the newest episodes as soon as someone has them posted. I enjoy the overall long running stories tied with one hour hi-jinks.
I have become to really enjoy Matt Smith. I think he brings a nice quirky, carefree attitude to the Doctor.
I'd love to met some people that have one thing in common and make friendships from there. I'd love to have watching parties, meet ups where we talk about the episodes, and do non-Doctor related things as well. I'd like to not feel like the only nerdy sci-fi one in a social circle for once.

Had a great time at Rocky Horror, glad you could make it! Hopefully our future meetups will populate the group a bit more thoroughly.
