The Historical George Ranch Park is a photography goldmine. We'll be there to watch and photograph as the day-to-day operations of a working ranch take place around us. (HUGE thanks to Anna Hopkins for inviting us back this year!!)
See below for Picnic, Park Admission Costs, and Details about George Ranch Historical Park!
This is HPW 2nd Annual Family Picnic! Join us for lunch! Pack PB&Js and bags of chips for you and the family! This is your chance to show your wife and kids that your OTHER family isn't all that bad. :) We will start this photowalk with an early lunch picnic at 11am on the grounds. (Specific location will be provided prior to the event)
After we eat and chat, we'll wander around this beautiful park and explore its many photo opportunities. This is a GREAT place to take some photos of you and the family, so don't be shy about asking a fellow photowalker if they wouldn't mind using your camera to take a family group shot!
About George Ranch Historical Park:
There will be ongoing demonstrations and activities, bringing George Ranch Historical Park's story to life as we tour the property.
The Park is developed around a nearly-mile long loop; a tractor-drawn tram circles every 20 or 30 minutes. You can walk the loop or ride the tram.
The George Ranch Historical Park's history follows family lines beginning in 1824 when Texas was still part of Mexico. The first Texas pioneers settled near the Brazos River. In the years since, the Ranch has passed through four generations and grown into one of Fort Bend County's landmarks.
